Most of you know that consumers not only shop on realtor.com but as many other sites as they can to see which one is the most user friendly to them.  I find many of my clients use Trulia and their real estate engine.

I can go into Trulia and set up a FREE profile, add my listings, set up a testimonials page, and blog.  Not that I need to blog anymore than I already do!

What many agents don't know is that you can claim your listings in Trulia.

*Add Multiple Emails to Claim Listings

Trulia uses your email address to synchronize your listings to your profile based on the email address that appears in the listing feed or 3rd party listing source provider.
If your real estate company feed is using your company email address and Postlets is using your Hotmail email address (or whatever email address you are using to promote YOU!) and you are using yourname@gmail.com for your Trulia profile, then a match will not occur. Until now!!!!

Based on your feedback, Trulia has added some new My Trulia account functionality. Now you can have multiple email addresses associated with your account.  Go to Trulia (only if you have set up your profile) go to your profile page and "edit your profile" and where you see the "email tab" click on it and add your emails.
You'll receive a link in your email to confirm that it actually exists.  So after you completed the work in Trulia don't forget to go to your email account and verify that the email is good!

Thanks for the update Lori. I have input my info on Trulia but find their information on other properties is incorrect quite frequently unless someone (homeowner or agent) has corrected it. It's invariably a problem for buyers that use it as a resource for comps. Always a learning curve.

Thank you, Lori.   And thank you, Trulia.   As someone who uses multiple email addresses, I greatly appreciate this.

FWIW, Yahoo Real Estate gets more searches than Realtor.com

Lori ~ I have recently set up my free profile on Trulia, but wasn't aware of being able to claim my listings and sync e-mails. Thanks for providing the information...I'll be taking a look at it soonest!
