Doesn't E-Mail form our Congress Have to Allow up the Option to "Opt Out"

I have turned off my television this political season and let me tell the shelter from the nonsensical political ads has been wonderful.  But this morning my US Senator sent me an email filled with the typical half truth rhetoric urging me to vote.  

Well I voted and likely not as my senator would have wished.  But what I noticed about his e-mail is that I had no option to "Opt Out".  I replied asking I be removed from his mailing list and received back the mail delivery failure note, since it was obviously a mass auto generated e-mail also known as SPAM.  

So if you are reading this my senator:

Dear Senator, 

Thanks all the same, but I can find news sources sufficient to allow me to make up my own mind.  I don't need your input into my process.  After all, an empty chair would have done as good a job as you did this term so your advice is not wanted.  And please remove me from your mailing list.
