Diehard #3 Fans KNOW what Talladega Means! Sad news for NASCAR!

It is so hard to believe that Dale Earnhardt Sr's last win came at Talladega 10 years ago.  Tomorrow's race will mark the anniversary of his last win.

Meanwhile, Jim Hunter, NASCAR VP, died at his home in Daytona after a long battle with cancer.

On today's SpeedTV Cup qualifying from Talladega, Darrell Waltrip (JAWS) told the story of when Hunter called him after Darrell made some comments about Jr during the time when Jr was leaving his father's race team.  Hunter recounted that MR. FRANCE * as Big Bill France was called * was not pleased and would be calling him.  When he did not get a call, Darrell thought he was out of the dog house until a FedEx package arrived at his home from Daytona....no return or sender address....just from DAYTONA.  When he opened it, Darrell pulled out a set of shark jaws......he got the message!!!

Jim Hunter is a gentleman and a GREAT sportsman who has been a wonderful asset in the growth of NASCAR.
