On August 9, 2007 the Muscular Dystrophy Association held their biggest Lockup for the year raising over $140,000. The traditional theme is to arrest the participant and bring them in to jail for Lockup until they raise their goal. No, you don't really go to jail. Nor are you forced to stay. If anyone ever has the opportunity to participate, I highly suggest it. It is a ton of fun, great food, helpful Fire Fighters!
Local Dealerships donate vehicles for the day that the Fire Fighters use to come pick you up. They will even arrest you with play hand cuffs if you want. Nothing beats a couple handsome Fire Fighters coming into your office to take you away for lunch.

When you arrive at your sponsored location, you are greeted and provided a name tag and other goodies before seeing the Judge for sentencing. This is really an explanation of everything happening for the day and to answer any questions. Here's where you get your picture taken in jail to take home with you.
Then you are welcome to have lunch while calling friends and family asking them to donate and help "bail you out of jail". It is an exciting room filled full of people all helping to raise money for people living with a disease that causes muscle deterioration.

AWESOME sis!!
