I blog on AR Because...

Real Estate Agent with LAER Realty Partners

I blog on AR because...

1. I love blogging. (I can say so - at least for past few months - this has been an addiction for me - can't sleep without writing a blog post on AR!)

2. I can share my knowledge. (I did write a series on useful websites for 30 days - and once 30-in-30 was over, I was kind of feeling blank!)

3. I can learn a lot from others. Yes, I did learn many things - the first and foremost, blogging. I used to be a shy person, always afraid of writing because of ESL (well, English as my Second Language).

4. I get confidence. So true! Since I started blogging, my production has sky-rocketed. (Is this correct use of this word?)

5. I am not afraid of making mistakes in my writing. The community is so pardonable, they would understand what I want to convey as compared to finding out my grammatic or spelling mistakes.

6. I can share my thoughts with about 200,000 enthusiastic people. This is a HUGE community where at least someone will listen to me.

7. I am not limited to blogging about Real Estate only! For example, this post!

8. I may get a referral from someone! (Shameless plug? Yes, I don't mind referrals!)

9. I have no 'better' choice. I thought of blogging on different platforms but never felt as much comfortable as I can, on AR.

and....there are many more reasons but I'd limit to 10! Here is #10!

10. I get points - and my rank goes up in AR - for my town (now #1), for my county (again #1) and for my state (no..not #1 here - and yes, I like challenges and competition.)

There are many more reasons why I blog on AR. (Some of them SEO related, some of them to do with inbound links...but I don't care much for them!)

In just one sentence I can say...

I blog on AR just because I like it!

What about you?

Thanks for all the comments - I am 'speechless' - and what I thought was my 'free-flow' of thoughts would become a featured post. As I said, I blog on AR, just because I like it!

I am very happy to connect with all of you through this post - many of you have a many tags including a special tag under their pictures with 100,000+...to MM for Lenn (the first time I saw this symbol - and I see the difference between now and then). You are true inspiration to me - and I'd like to reach that goal.) (Debra Davis, good luck for your 100,000 - and your goals for rest of the year, you'll score 100,000 I am sure.)

It's good to know that I could 'revive' the interest for blogging for some of you - yes, it does re-pay. I have seen the difference myself in last couple of months.

Thanks, once again. I wish I could express it with some more words!

I blog on AR because I like it as well.  It is fun to read and occasionally comment on others posts.  That makes this a fun site to learn from and share.  Good list.

Posting is fun to put your thoughts in words. It's like therapy.  At first it was for the points now it's fun to share things that happen, new things I've learned and experieces with Real Estate.

Praful:  Blogging reminds me when "fax" machines were conceived....it was a strange way of communicating which i just felt..."who needs it"....that was back in the 1980's..of course look what Impact Fax had become since then......Blogging had the same effect and I felt uncomfy with it...."who needs it"...got along well enough without.  But, as I slowly but surely generate more and more "pleasure" from Blogging....I am also developing that need to keep on Blogging....on a day to day routine. There is a 'writer" inside me, just waiting to surface. Thanks for sharing...wishing you continued success !    Mike

Praful, congratulations on your featured post!  Everything you list is why I blog, too.  The best part is the connections I've made on AR and all the learning.  I love it, too.  Wish you more continued success, :)

Great thoughts.

To blog or not to blog, one of the biggest questions we have to confront every time we procrastinate!

Sometimes just need that little push to sit down and start typing! And nice to re-visit many of the end reasons that make it worthwhile.

Hi Praful, blogging as you so rightly put it, is a awesome way to connect, to share and be informed of different parameters on all levels in this great platform ...and more than that as you proved. Greetings from 'down under'.

Dear Praful,

Sometimes, it is easier to chitchat with like-minded individuals and not your family or friends, who do not know all the jargon & procedures.

There are so many great reasons to blog at ActiveRain!  I especially like reasons #4 and #5, as they create a sense of urgency to just do it.  Doing what may be unfamiliar and uncomfortable at first becomes something easy and enjoyable with lots of practice!
