point rightJust think, if you do 10 posts per week that's 2,000 points.  In three weeks that's 6,000 points.  Then if you comment on 10 blogs per day that's 250 points or 1,750 points per week for a total of 5,250 points in three weeks.  Then add on comments made to your bloggs, it adds up quick.  If you do all that and no comment points you can do 12,250 points in three weeks.  Piece of cake. point left

Holy Smokes Ray

You've got it all figured out, but here's my problem....I'M BUSY WORKIN'!

I do my blogging at the end of the day while my wife is watching "her shows", like Survivor, American Idol and the bunch.

Not to brag but I got 10,660 pts in two weeks. How much would that give me at the end of three weeks?

Todd:  Just trying to help.  LOL

Julie:  Your welcome.

Bruce:  The point is that it's easy to get points.  Who cares?

Sean:  Wow, you'r my hero.  How do you do it?  Uh that's 15,990.

I agree with Bruce that we need to work too.  But I also think the time spent here is an investment.  I garnered second position in my area in a matter of a few months.  But I read fast, and type fast, so if you're keyboard challenged, it might be a bit harder.

With all those fingers pointing, I'm not sure which way to go.

I managed to earn 21,000 points in about 3 weeks. I did everything you said above, got a couple of features, invited other to ActiveRain, and added photos to Localism.com.

Patsy:  I agree that work comes first.  It depends on how and where you post, I think that Localism is more important especially information about the area or local bits of information.

The point of the pointing fingers is that I'm trying to make a point about points. LOL

Ilyce:  You got it figured out.  Great job.

I think the points are only valuable if you have provided valuable content to the AR community, or Localism community.  Too often I have seen awful excuses for a blog; poorly written or PLAGIARIZED, bad spelling and grammar, and a lot of times totally useless information!  On the other hand, those who have spent time and thought before blogging (and proof-read before submitting!) deserve every point they earn!

Blog on Ray!

Andy:  LOL, I'm glad I can help.  Keep it up.

Frank:  I agree, It does pay off if only to get you higher up on the list.

Patty:  Blogging for points is not the point, content is king.  There has to be a reason other than the points to do this though points are fun to watch.  Well written and thought through posts are the ones that get the response, many don't have the time to dedicate to that.  Thanks for stopping by.

Content is king and let me tell you, I can't imagine being creative enough, much less suffering through the HTML challenges to do 10 posts in one week!

Blog on, Ray!  I'll have to read through your content.  I support the idea 100% that time spent here is an investment.
