I have had several posts lately about how all the bees and other insects are out in droves stocking up and savoring pollen and nectar before the winter. Caught this cute little butterfly doing just that while I was watering flowers on Saturday. She is actually only about a half the size of the photo which was enlarged to show detail like the stripes on her antenna. Isn't nature great!
I don't know how you, or anyone else, ever captures these critters in such amazing detail. I think I need to upgrade my camera.

Chris Ann This is a 300$ compact Cannon...most shots set on Macro holding my breath . You activate the auto function fully by holding down the shoot button halfway like most cameras and it will self adjust!
I love close ups of butterflies, bees, or even insects. I'm just weird that way! LOL Great shot!
Trey - I have been amazed to see butterflies this late in the season. I saw an incredible Monarch a couple of days ago. They had all but disappeared from my part of the state. It was huge!

As Fall sneaks up on us it very well could be the bartender's last call. It was supposed to be COOL here today but instead was warm and hazy. I'm thinking I better pick those green tomatoes later this week..
