Here's the sculpture located in Las Colinas, in Irving, Texas that was created by Robert Glen in 1976. His creation captured the free spirt embodied in the heritage of Texas. The horses look like they are running right through the plaza. You can almost feel the power beneath their feet.
"YOU GAIN STRENGTH, COURAGE, AND CONFIDENCE BY EVERY EXPERIENCE BY WHICH YOU REALLY STOP TO LOOK FEAR IN THE FACE. YOU ARE ABLE TO SAY TO YOURSELF, "I LIVED THROUGH THIS HORROR. I CAN TAKE THE NEXT THING THAT COMES ALONG."

Hello Patricia:
Another feature one can only see in Texas. I'll be the SMU fans love it.
Hi Brian,
And now, all of the Active Rain Community can see it any time they want!
I'll have to visit SMU and take some photographs. It's a beautiful campus!
Thank you! :)
What a wonderful set of photos. Thanks. I have tucked them away in my "must see" folder.
THose are amazing! I would love to see that in person! The quote is awesome as well! Have a wonderful day!
Carol,
It was good to hear from you and I'm glad you liked the Mustangs. They really are amazing and very life like. They have lights on it at night and the water is always running so it's quite impressive!
Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful day too!
Gosh! What an extraordinary sculpture of mustangs. They just shot right out the screen into my heart. Thank you for passing this gem forward. The last major wild-horse round-up in New Mexico took place in 1932. Today, the law protects them and only allows round-ups of wild horses for adoption or movement to sanctuaries.
Hi Emily, I'm so glad you appreciated the sculpture of the mustangs. It's worth it to see and to appreciate the artist's work. I couldn't decide which photo to post so I did my best to capture the spirit of what the artist was trying to convey. Thank you for sharing that great piece of information about the "wild-horse round up in New Mexico. What a GREAT story! One of these days, I'm bound and determined to get to Sante Fe.
