I don't usually look to graffiti artists who can't spell for inspiration, but this Healdsburg California tagger's message speaks loudly to our real estate profession. People come to us asking for the "real estate" things we offer, but what they want is happiness. They speak of bedrooms, views, great rooms, and countertops, but unspoken is the universal goal of harmony in their family. We hear acreage, gated community, schools, and neighborhoods, but in their body language we can read the need for belonging and community.
In the daily details of our business we are preoccupied with marketing, with contracts, and with the negotiations and showings that make this a profession with head held high pride. I like those practical aspects about this industry and the collaboration with my smart and experienced co-workers at Healdsburg Sothebys International Realty. But most of all I like working with clients to help them find what they really want and need; Happiness.
The next time a new client walks in the door, please ask about how many bedrooms they want, the style of house they fantasize about, and how many spaces they need in their garage. For your own satisfaction, don't forget to ask them about the last time a house they lived in really made them happy, and tell them you want to help them find another one. You don't have to tell them a tagger made you do it.
Good evening Dave ~
It's really interesting to see what blogs are created from the simplest of inspiration. Thanks for sharing your observation(s).
