A Dream House's Difficult Birth!

According to the Wall Street Journal it took four architects, seven years and 6 millions later, a Carmel property near completion!

By their own admission, Mark Feldberg and Emilyn Page aren't the easiest people to work with. And when it came to building their new home, the couple knew exactly what they wanted.

Getting what they wanted meant the early exit of three architects, the passage of seven years (and counting) and a budget that grew from $400,000 to about $6 million to build the house, courtyard, sculpture garden and three avant-garde tree-houses!

This is just FYI only!

Thanks.

Oh, I read this on Yahoo earlier today.  What a house!  What struck me was the budget: $400,000 in the beginning to $6M upon completion!  That's quite a spread!

The other thing that cracked me up was that they went through 4 architects.  You can tell they are "particular" clients.  But hey....they know what they want and have the money to back it up.

Beautiful and unique Carmel home!
