According to the Kauai MLS there were 57 closed sales for thee month of October 2010. 11 of those were reported as REOs. This equates to 19.30%. Many more REOs have been withdrawn or temporary withdrawn as some banks are reevaluating there foreclosure procedures. Most likely they will come back on the market shortly. My Koloa Gardens #12 is one of these units temporarly off the market. New REO properties are still being assigned, I now have around 17 properties assigned that are not listed. Most are in eviction stages but some are in premarketing where the property is being  clean up and the appraisals are being ordered. REO assignements will probably slow down around the holidays as they did last year.
