$220 in Savings to be weaned from the "Bottomless Ink Well"

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Solano Pacific BRE #01474067

When I saw this contest today from Active Rain I had several thoughts about but not having to spend SO much on my ink for my un-named printer that you can ONLY buy ink from on line. Yea, alot of good that does me early in the morning or late at night in printing out contracts.  As Bob mentioned in the contest, I too wait til the last minute. Then pay for overnight express for new ink.

The printer says you are running out of ink, and yet in a little, teeny weeny print it can say I have 20 more pages to print.  And they make it seem like you are running out of ink in just seconds. So I wait til the last minute knowing I have to get an armored truck to pay for the ink.

I would love to save on ink and maybe I will be switching over to Kodak. and knowing I can save $220, wow that makes sense.

What I could do with the $220 Savings:

  • Donate to Reach Out Benicia, a local drug recovery group for teens through young adults
  • Donate to Sierra Service Project, a local group of young teens work at Indian reservations rehabilitating homes each year in July.  It is sponsored through St Pauls Episcopal Church in Benicia
  • Donate to our local Relay for Life for Vallejo and Benicia

No matter what I believe that $220 will grow if used wisely!  By donating to a good cause, it is not getting lost under my mattress since I will not make any money by putting it in a savings account!

"This post is for the ActiveRain 'I could save $220 with Kodak Contest. I have a chance to win a free Kodak Printer, $$220 in cash to use for the idea in my blog post, and an extra $100 to use toward ink!."

Wow, I'm impressed that you'd use the entire $220 for charity.  I'm sure there aren't too many others with that kind of spirit of giving.

Melanie - I commend you for what you would do with the savings. As the chair for the board of directors of a charitable organization that works with refugees (Matthew House here in Toronto) it does my heart good to see the caring and sharing attitude of many members here in the Rain

If everyone did just one little thing this would be a much better world.
