 Mike Spindle and Paola Porrini Bisson of Prudential California Realty are sponsoring “Scaling Mountains with a Borrowed Heart,” an evening with Kelly Perkins, an author, heart transplant recipient and a world-class mountain climber. The event, which will be held on Sunday, November 7^th, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., is graciously being hosted by Pierluigi Bonvicini, at 5 Windemere Court in Newport Coast.

 Since receiving a heart transplant in 1995, Perkins wrote “The Climb of My Life,” a book that chronicles her fight with disease and experiences with climbing mountains all over the world. Together with her husband Craig Perkins, she founded the Moving Hearts Foundation, a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to increase worldwide donations of organs, tissue and blood by raising awareness through high profile inspirational projects.

 A dedicated volunteer for a number of local charities and a board member of the Friendship Shelter, Porrini Bisson leveraged the skills that made her a successful entrepreneur and educator to form a real estate team with Mike Spindle, a veteran agent with more than 30 years of experience. Guided by a commitment to provide attentive and thorough client service, they create innovative marketing plans for their sellers, carefully research all of the details associated with each transaction, and work tirelessly to find listings for their buyers that are not in the MLS.
