Yesterday I had a very interesting phone call. A lady in Moscow Idaho called me wanting to have a few numbers of people I would recommend to blow out her sprinkler system. She went on to tell me she had lost the number of the folks who had done it for her last year. And when she went to google blowing out sprinkler systems, she had come across my blog that I had recently written on getting your Pullman WA or Moscow Idaho home ready for fall.
To me that was an amazing phone call. I have sent people to read my blog. I have sent particular blogs off to clients. I have even had a client go to a nearby recreation spot and find a blog I had posted there a year before. In fact, we are moving toward closing next month. But I have never had a total who had come across my blog and tell me they found be because of my blog.
As a pretty dedicated blogger here in Active Rain, I have written my share of blogs. Often we post a blog hoping for some sort of response. Maybe a few comments from some of the fellow members. Maybe if we are really lucky a gold star. And for most of us, the little gold stars are extremely rare. But, if you are like me, often you feel that very rarely does it fall into the hands of the consumer. But they do.....so just keep writing good fresh content for your readers, whether you see them or not...they see you!
