We are saddled with problems in this country that can help solve themselves in a natural way if we just apply a little common sense. The government is holding hundreds of thousands of affordable homes in default. Our country is struggling with an illegal immigration problem. Let's try offering permanent resident status to any immigrant family that buys a home out of foreclosure. Put a few stipulations on it like they must occupy it as a permanent residence for at least five years and go through other standard channels to achieve permanent citizenship but give them a fast track. This is the kind of creative problem solving that we need from our leaders. If temporary little flash for a lotta cash programs like "cash for clunkers" is the best they can come up with we are in big trouble. Credit culture guru, and bronze art dealer Darren Hussey for coming up with this housing and immigration co-alleviation idea.
