For those of you who will be missing the political ads, now that the elections are "mostly" over. As a public service, I thought I would show these images from the Tea Party. These ads spell catastoffey, catostrophee, catasstouphy, disaster for our public education system.

Our president SHOULD read the Consitution! And please honk if you believe in NO AMNETY for English? (Whaa?)

ARE country is truly the Rodney Dangerfield of countries, isn't it? And aren't you GLAD that they're no PUBIC option!?!

and yet more AMESTY, EXTREMEY over-taxed.... and WerNOT... gonna take it. (or is it WeirNot?..or WhereNOT? dang it, you know what I meant!)

and damn those Scholiast Policies!! ... 'cause Socilism is just not my cup of tea!

Cause Enoungh is Enoungh!! (Dang, that's hard to misspell on purpose!) These issues aren't always black and white, you know?

I would have thought he was all wrong... but there he is... less than half of Obama... on Muslin!

allright... so many people misspell this one... I'm going to have to point out that the correct spelling is "LOSING"... and why do they keep blaming poor old Hugh!?

It is nice of FoxNews to keep us so InFromed.. (Ethan Frommed?)... Hmm... "I" before "E", except after "TEA"?

it's my job to Mor tage it for him. It looks like they had the "apostrophe 'e'" in place, but someone talked them out of it... Damn that Nancy Pelosi!

We may not be able to envision how our political system will work going forward with these brilliant minds now in such positions of power. I guess we can be certain that funding for schools .... and courses in basic English...will not be a top priority. Great post Alan.

Alfonse - I love seeing misspelled signs, no matter who wrote them. Funny enough, I often misspell "misspell." I had to read your post, because of the use of the word "Moran" - I thought "oh no, what is Alan writing about Sheila and Kristin Moran????"

There are some pretty darn stupid signs there. I guess if you get enough people making signs you will see dumb stuff. For months here, a shoe repair store had a sign that said: Althetic Shoes. Finally they took it down.

Alan: And Clarence Thomas' wife has the brass ones to call Anita Hill and DEMAND an apology from HER. Wow... his wife sounds like much more of a witch than Christine O'Donnell could ever hope to be... and Thomas, in my opinion, deserves to be married to her. What a fun life they must lead, huh ?

I don't know if you are old enough to have watched those hearings, but I watched every minute of them I could. Poop ! And those so-called "christian conservatives" talk about "family values." Uh huh. Yeah. Right.

Karen Anne - I remember them clearly. In fact, we had a good friend at the time, who was an appelate court judge, and i asked her what she thought. She had an interesting take, and said that Judges take perjory very seriously. And in some of the hearings, Clarence was asked his opinions on some highly topical high visibility cases... and he stated, under the record, that he hadn't yet formed an opinion.

She said ... that, in and of itself, has to be a lie... either he's lying, or he's not paying attention, and either way, just doesn't deserve to be on the court.
