Safety Issue - Rabies in Indiana

The state health officials released an article in October announcing the first case of rabies since 1959.  At the time of the release the victim was still alive but on November 2, 2006 Shannon Carroll, a 10-year-old girl died of rabies in Indianapolis.  She had been bitten in June by a bat and hospitalized in October.  While the article did not give her exact home location, it was somewhere in the South Bend area.

To read the full article please visit http://www.logcabinvet.com/mb/pb-377.post.  It will give you the details of what rabies does to the victim's health as well as what precautions to take.  If you have a subject you would like to hear about, please visit my site http://cyndisloop4indyhomes.com and email me a suggestion.
