During the month of August there were fourteen newly marketed properties with an average asking price of $309,720.00 on of these properties was in Attorney Review in just 5 days.

The lowest priced property was asking $199,900.00 and is an eight room Colonial with 2 bedrooms 1.5 baths with a one car garage.

The highest priced property is asking $524,900.00 a 12 Room Colonial with 4 bedrooms 3 full baths and a 5 car garage.

The average asking price of these properties are $309,720.00. Two properties were listed as "UC" under contract with an average asking price of $292,700.00 they were on the market for 101 days on average.

Three properties SOLD with an average asking price of $226,633.00 and an average final SOLD price of $219,333.00 this represents a 96.77% List Price vs. Sold Price Ratio.

Eight properties were listed as withdrawn with an average asking price of $380,337.00 and was on the market for an average of 206 days.

Five properties showed up as expired meaning they are no longer available through the MLS System the average asking price was $344,900.00 and was on the market 176 days on average.

Newton New Jersey features many 1st. time buyer homes, it is the county seat of Sussex County. A great area to raise a family, home to Newton Memorial Hospital,and is in close proximity to Picatinny Arsenal.

Thanks for your comment, yes I know a lot about the area. My family and I visit Newton often and walk the shops and go to the movies there.
