This weekend is when I usually start my Christmas shopping. I love outdoor festivals, and this is the last one that I know of in the area for the season. Homestead Hollow in Springfield, AL is going to have their Christmas In The Country craft show starting Friday November 5th, 2010. It will run on the dates of the 5th, 6th and 7th. The crafts are usually so unique and nice I get the majority of my Christmas shopping done. Come get into the holiday spirit and join me for a day of shopping at the Homestead Hollow, Christmas In The Country festival this weekend.

Hi Diane, I love those festivals too (actually, we should call them great shopping ops). That's a wonderful picture; it must be a fun place for the event.

Toni, Love the name "Shopping Ops".   I like them because the gifts you get are usually one of a kind and handmade.

Patricia,  Homestead Hollow is a nice park with structures that were build as they were in yesteryear.

Diane - Would you believe I already have half my Christmas shopping done.  I have 4 grown children, with spouses, and 7 grandchildren.  So you can understand why I must start early:-)  Your picture captured a very enchanted looking place!

Good for you Myrl, I am sure that you are glad that you have gotten that much out of they way.  I always make smarter choices when I am not in a hurry. Sounds like you have a great family from the post that you write.

Homestead Hollow is so much fun........I regret that I will not be able to make it this year.  Good luck with your Christmas shopping and try not to eat too much!
