Home Stager with Staged 2 Sell Solutions Inc.

After few months of organizing, packing and sourcing shelving and storage solutions, and looking for ideas from my fellow activerainers, we made it.

Staged 2 Sell Solutions has its own showroom now and we are very excited. With over 70K worth of staging inventory, selecting, packing and loading the staging truck is so much easier now. Everything is organized by colour and function, furniture on heavy duty shelves to make use of the vertical space... it is great to go there every morning. We organized the space with a little showroom to meet and greet redesign clients and real estate agents.

Having a store front, we designed a big sign that already brought us clients and will use the windows to showcase our current projects. Getting excited as I write:)

That looks amazing.....mine not so much.....some might call it a "hot mess".  Your store front looks very chic!  Have you found that it brings in foot traffic?  Are you in a downtown/high foot traffic area??

I am moving my warehouse in a few weeks and although I am fairly organized I hope to be even more so in my new space. I have the option for the store front space but I am just not sure I want to man it all the time. Do you? Or do you have a sign that say "by appointment".

Looks great! Best of luck....can't wait until I am done!

Thank you Ladies!!

Donna - just dream harder:)

Shar - I do have a sign"by appointment only" The website address is on the sign and will soon have the card holder with the lid to have some of my business cards.

Maureen - There is still the art to organize:( Having the selves organized in my system cuts the selecting and packing time almost in half, so it is good to be organized:(

Kathy - this is a suburb which was built in the new urbanism principles, that means that it is possible to walk to your doctor's office, coffee shop, convenience store, hair salon, etc. This strip has live-work townhouses that all have commercial spaces on the main floor, so there is quite a bit of traffic there. We put up the sign last week and got 2 appointments the same week. When we found the space i was happy to have a storage outside my basement, but now I am seeing other possibilities. Did I mention that is only 2 minutes walk from my own home?

How chic Monica! I am very envious of  your organization skills-Mine are poor right now as I am remodeling at home and very busy working so guess what I am lacking as I am destaging in the middle of the night?

I love everything about it, Monica. Your sign, your organization - it's all incredible. And to think it's a two minute walk from your home.  WOW!  Good for you.

I envision much success as you have truly thought outside-of-the-box!  Congratulations!

I love this!  It is one of my goals to have a warehouse where we can have our office and a showroom to rotate out inventory.  Thanks for sharing photos!

Thank you Wanda, Lynn, Kathy, Cathy and Sally!

Having an organized space does make a stagers`life easier. Now if I just find an affordable and functional art storage solution would be great. The ones I saw in museums are a bit prohibitive, but they work amazingly well. Now I have to put my engineering hat and design an inexpensive version.

How do you store your art?

Great store front.  Do you get customers who just want to buy what you have?

All my items are in my basement on chrome shelving.  The are there according to color and room.

Art is hung on the walls wit smaller items in boxes according to room

Hi Virginia!

Since I put the sign up last week I had 2 staging consultations, so I think is a good start.

I bring in redesing clients to show the type of accessories I plan to use in their homes, and this way I cut back the time I am returning the items that they don't like back to the stores.

The walls are used to maximum. Here I hung the original art, the ones I need to be careful with. I have hundreds of pieces of art that I keep on shleves, but it is quite hard to select the piece that I need, as they are quite cluttered. The art galleries have a system that looks like a giant book, fixed on the wall, each page is a frame that holds art. For what I need this system costs about 3000, and I do not want to invest that much.

Monica, I love the idea, I'm still small so I have things stored in my house, my car, I need to get at least a storage unit soon, I think?? What was the deciding factor in getting a storefront, cost wise? I'd be curious how much you have to make to maintain overhead. Even though I'm far from it, its good to dream big. Let me know, how the store goes, I'd be interested.
