The B Section in Stony Brook Long Island consists of addresses with the street names starting with the letter B. Here, we think we have included all of theml...Balfour, Bonnie, Bucknell, Beaverdale, Bentley, Barnwell, Burgess, Bunting, Botany, Buxmont Bendix Lane, and Ballad Lane & Place, plus Backwell Lane and Court, and Birdseye Circle.  The homes in the B Section of Stony Brook are mostly Ranches, Colonial, Expanded Ranch, Farm Ranch and Cape style designs.  Most of these residences do not have basements, but they do have attached garages.  The B Section was built mostly during the mid 1960's.  You can reach the B Section in Stony Brook by Route 347 North to Nichols Road and right onto Barker Drive.  All of the homes in this area are located within the top rated Three Village School District #1.  
 
Located on the picturesque North Shore of Long Island, Stony Brook is home to the State University of New York at Stony Brook, The Stony Brook School, Stony Brook Village and Stony Brook University Medical Center. Stony Brook is accessible to New York City via The Long Island Railroad and is approximately 55 miles to Manhattan.  The Railroad Station is situated by North Country Road and Chapman Street in Stony Brook.  According to public records and the multiple listing service, between January 2010 through October 2010, homes sold and closed in The B Section at Stony Brook Long Island from $275,000 for a 3 bedroom 2 bath Ranch to $500,000 for a 6 bedroom 3 bath Farm Ranch.

    Long Island seems to be full of communities with sections known for their street name letters. We had one in E. Northport known as the EL section...right off of Elwood Road.
