Love fall in the Virginia countryside. I think we have just about reached the end of this years colors and now have to wait until Mother Nature brings us her next surprise...snow.
I"m not sure if I like Spring or Fall better. I think Spring because it marks the beginning of a new growth. But it is my dream one day to see the Fall Colors of your part of the world...

I was born and raised in Southern California where everything is either green or brown. When I met my husband (in S. Calif) he told me he was an artist and showed me some of his paintings. One was of a covered bridge and it had orange, red and yellow leaves. I thought he wasn't a very good artist, becasue trees had green leaves...is it any wonder why I moved to the midwest? Absolutely gorgeous photos Lenn! I too want to head east some fall! Thanks for sharing your beautiful countryside with us.

Evelyn. Goodness. Painting green trees is easy. Painting orange, red and yellow trees is an adventure.
Lenn....my favorite time of year. I wish it could be like this year round. Great temperatures coupled with great beauty!
Larry. Our temperature has averaged in the mid-50 for highs during the day, down to the mid-30s overnight. It seems a tad on the cool side for me.
Then, I'm quite comfortable thank you with mid 90s of summer days.
