The Be Thankful Challenge

Joni Staples got me started after reading her post she wrote about accepting the challenge when she read Lisa Lambert and Donna Foresters posts!  A post a day on something we are thankful for is the quest!  No points just a challenge to remind us of our bounty in life.

At the top of my hit parade are our darling 5 grandchildren!  From ages fourteen to nine our energetic angels are growing up and blessing us each day with their creativity and boundless zest for life.  I am grateful each day they live in Austin and we are able to share and be a part of their lives.  There is no beauty so great as beauty shared!

Margaret Lee Runbacks' quote: "Happiness is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of traveling" expresses how we fell hitching a ride on the journey through life with our grandchildren!

Hi Dorie, Grandchildren are truly something to be thankful for.  I know ours have brought so much joy and love into our lives! When counting my many blessings they are surely right there at the top of the list. 

Your flowers remind me of a Mother's Day project I helped the grandchildren make for their Mom this year.  We made a bouquet of "face flowers" for my daughter from their photos, construction paper and drinking straw stems.   

Children and grandchildren- Just the best!
