Orange County Housing Market shows that Home Sales were down about 15% from last year for 22 business days (one month) ending October 15, 2010.
- 59 of 83 O.C. zip code areas had year-over-year sales declines during that time, or 71% of the market.
- Orange County sales units were 14.9% vs. same time one year ago.
- Since the OC home sold price pinnacle in June 2007, there's been a 32% drop in the Orange County median sold price.
The declining sales at Orange County is probably a good sign for buyers, especially because sellers are motivated with less buyer competition these days.
Orange County recent home sales decline is not surprising, and here are some zip code area highlights.
- Anaheim 92808 had median sold price up and sales volume up 20.7%
- Dana Point 92624 had sales volume up 100%
- Irvine 92614 and 92620 were up in sold price and also up at sales volume.
- San Juan Capistrano 92625 was up both in sold price and sales volume.
- Yorba Linda 92886 was up at both sales price and sales volume.
- Orange County as a whole was up 1.9% in sold median price at $440k and down 14.9% in sales volume.
