Athens GA Dining - Depalma's is a Delight!

With football season upon us, my husband and I took advantage of a rare free Friday night recently to revisit one of my favorite restaraunts. Depalma's has three Athens, Georgia dining locations, and dining at any of them is a delight. However, my favorite has always been the one located on Barnett Shoals Road (706-369-0085). We decided to take advantage of the slightly cooler temperatures and enjoy Depalma's Italian Cafe patio seating in Athens Georgia

To start came a half order of the die for breadsticks with spinach and an order of crab cakes.

There have been some great new additions to the menu, so I skipped my favorite entree, freshly made angel hair pasta with alfredo sauce, and ventured out to explore the Insalta Ceceila, a gorgeous mixed greens salad with grilled pineapple, scallops, and shrimp with my new favorite dressing - a jalapeno citrus delight! This salad was so delicious, I had to embarrass my husband and take a photo of it to share with you!

Michelle, this looks like quite a find. That outside dining looks so inviting. And that salad....WOW! I don't know if it embarrassed your husband but it made me want to find my way to Depalma's!

Now this looks and sounds like a great restaurant. The salad is beautiful, was it as tasty as it looks?

Kimberly, I'm telling you - you need to visit Athens. We'll eat our way through town, lol! I really thought my husband was going to curl up and crawl off when I pulled my camera out!

Cynthia, it was so good I got one to go a couple of days later for lunch! The salad dressing was the most incredible blend of taste and perfect for the grilled seafood. I'm getting hungry thinking about it again :)
