I recently attended an affordable housing class in Dallas.  Plus later in the week I attended another class just for the Enterprise program.

What I learned is that this market still has plenty of programs out there to assist the first time homebuyer.  A First time homebuyer is someone who has never purchased a home before.   It also pertains to a buyer who has not owned a home in the past three years.

I will write briefly about some of the programs that were presented in those two classes.

1.  MCC programs- this is a tax credit for the life of the loan.  For each year that you live in the home you have up to $2000 tax credit.  You also must have a tax liability to use the tax credit.

2. The Enterprise Program-  for Dallas homes only.  This program will give up $12000 for down payment and closing cost assistance.  Recently, the fund has been replenished.

3. The Veteran Land loans are for more than just land purchases.  You can use the loans to purchase a home or rehabilitate the home.

For qualifications of each loan or program call me for a consultation.

P.S. I want to hear from military personnel, I have some great news you want to hear about.
