Donna, what a gorgeous area! I am so in love with the "Makers" wildlife and natural beauty. I have never been fly fishing! I usually catch a fish, remove the hook and send them on their way. I then go eat at Landry's Seafood here in the Woodlands, Texas. If you have a wonderful vacation package idea I would love to hear it. I'm about to run away for awhile. Thank you for your support. Debra:  I'll research the vacation options for you but don't know of anything right off.  Most people come to the mountains "free wheeling" it, I guess you could say.  There's plenty to do with all the festivals, shopping, and recreation choices so most people just come and do whatever they feel like doing at the time.  Relaxing of course is another huge past time for people to do in our mountains.  I will direct you to the Fannin County Chambe of Commerce though.  They have lots of great ideas and information.  Just google on Fannin County Georiga Chamber of Commerce.  I love that you remove the hook and let the fish go!!!  That's the only way I could really fish. Thanks for your comment.

Tom:  I doubt seriously that anyone will actually see a bear because it is extremely rare, but out hiking or camping, one never knows.  We do have to remind kind hearted, well meaning folks not to feed the wild animals and especially, not to leave food or garbage out when camping.  We did have a couple renting a cabin once, and a bear was peeking in through a window.  Turns out they left food outside and the bear was just wanting to eat.  I guess he was a little curious about the humans inside the cabin. No harm done.

Keith and Robin:  Have a great time if you can make it.  I hope the weather will continue to be nice.  I noticed on my drive back from Paulding county today that some of the leaves are already turning color.  The festival is in downtown Blue Ridge so maybe you'll get a chance to visit some of the great shops along Main Street.
