Home Stager with Kates Home Staging and Interior Design Owner & Lead Designer

Bathroom are usually overlooked when it comes to home staging.

To have a big impact, it is usually the simple changes that can have a huge impact.

First, it is extrememly important that your bathroom be sparkling clean and that all personal items are put away.

Second, fresh towels can make a great first impression and can tie together the color in a bathroom.

Third, paint is always a great way to improve the look of any bathroom.

Kate - did you paint or was it the light? I liked the pretty blue but I guess the grey is more neutral :) Once you love color it's hard to go completely to neutrals, but we do have to sell houses!

Great tips!  The bathroom is also the most forgotten space when a seller heads out the door before a showing!  I always suggest keeping a basket with windex and paper towels in the bathroom.  Use it to do a quick wipedown and throw all the clutter in the basket before you leave!

What a great example of just how big an impact these small, but great, changes made to the look and feel of this room!  Removing the cabinet made a big impact and reduced the visual clutter.  Great job!

Congratulations. Your home staging is being featured in the group Staging Before and After Pictures.

Debi - Thanks.

Kathy - We did paint it a grey.  The blue was very bright.

Kristyn - Great tips.  A clean bathroom is always the way to go.

Kathy - Thanks for your kind words.

Mannie - Thanks!

Kathy - Thanks for the feature.  I did not like the cabinet over the toilet, it made the space seem smaller.

Kristine - Thanks!

Kate,

The bathroom looks so nice now... clean and clutter free.  I noticed by removing the cabinet the room really does look larger.  Fantastic job!

Hi Kate -- what a great example of bathroom staging!  Clean, chic, and uncluttered -- perfection!  The art you used is much better than the previous cabinet, which only told buyers "you won't have enough room here for your stuff."

Gosh, Kate, those are all great suggestions! Also, it's always better to put the toilet lid down...

Hi Kate, don't you just love pedastal sinks in bathrooms? Everytime I see one, my heart sinks.Just where do builders think homeowners will store all the necessary things like toilet paper and personal items in a bathroom. As I always say, toilet paper and their holders are not decorating no matter how fancy the holder is. It is meant to be put away.

Love your style, really made this bathroom appear bright and spacious.

Hey Kate! Beautiful job you have done! and so simple. many times clients think they have to spend so much and you really do not.  Most of the time everything you need is already available, it's just placement and intention for why :) have a great day Kate!
