Child and Babysitting Safety
Thank you Debra for your fabulous post on Babysitting safety. I think that it is important that anyone who is providing child care at least know the basis. I have been thinking about attending a class myself.
Enjoy my fellow readers :)
Are you a babysitter or looking to get a job as a babysitter? Parents, does your babysitter know what to do in case of emergency? Do they know basic first aid and CPR? If not maybe they should attend the CABS (Child and Babysitting Safety) course.
These classes combine lectures, videos and hands on practice. Each student receives a C.A.B.S. book and certification card to show parents. Book and card are included in registration fee.
This program is geared toward adolescents 11 and older and NOT intended for daycare workers. This program provides fundamental information for home childcare babysitters. Some of the topics covered are:
- Sitter safety
- Starting your business
- Before the parents leave
- Hand washing
- Meal preparation
- Pets
- Hazards
- Bedtime
- Injury prevention
- CPR
Class size is limited. Please call 917-374-4919 for dates and locations to reserve your seat or email absolutecpr@hotmail.com.
