More good news for the Medical Center West is that The Methodist Hospital System will open its new beautiful facility during December 2010 named Methodist West Houston Hospital. This facility is located just west of Barkers Cypress on the I-10 Feeder road. The facility is close to all of West Houston and Katy Texas residents. It will have almost 200 operating beds, 26 labor and delivery rooms, 28 emergency room beds and is housed in a 150,000 square foot medical office building. The hospital will have specializations such as Neonatal ICU, Labor and delivery, Breast Imaging Center, Cancer and Radiation Oncology, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Full Service Diagnostic Imaging, and Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery. West Houston and Katy continue to add excellent medical facilities and that is another reason why the Katy area continues to be an excellent place to live no matter what age a person is or their family status.

Their web page is showing openings for Unit Secretary, Steward, Stocker and Surgical Technologist PRNL& D. If you click on their job search button for this new hospital numerous positions pop up including Nurses (several types), Occupational Therapist, Licensed Physical Therapist, Speech Pathologist and the list of openings is 15 pages with about 10 opening on each page. Recently, the Houston Chronicle ranked The Methodist Hospital System the 8 TH best place to work ( among large companies) in the city of Houston and surrounding area.
