I love Wegmans. That grocery store is one of my all-time favorites. They have great prices, good food and fun events. One of the events you can find from time to time in their stores are book signings.

If you are looking for a little excitement over your lunch hour in Fairfax today (November 9th), swing by Wegman's off of Monument Drive for a chance to meet the real live Cake Boss. That's right, Buddy Valastro will be in Wegmans in Fairfax from Noon-1pm today signing his new book Cake Boss: Stories and Recipes from Mia Famiglia. The event is free with your Wegmans' Shoppers Club Card.

Even if you aren't a big Cake Boss fan, maybe someone in your family is. An autographed copy of Buddy's book would be a really great Christmas gift. Just a thought. After all, there are only forty-six shopping day until Christmas.

Very cool. I met Duff from Ace of Cakes a couple of years ago at an event at the Cochran Gallery of Art in DC. He had a lot of interesting things to say. Buddy and his group are entertaining. Sometimes you wonder how they come up with their ideas and pull them off.

We stop at Wegmans when were close but it's a ways from Germantown. A new one is opening in Frederick soon and one is ont the books about 10 minutes from us on 2012. Can't get here soon enough.
