What we did to Advertise Services To Renters?
We have been running crazy showing homes and taking listings the last 2 months, but not much to show on the boards. Our buyers are not making decisions and our sellers are not dropping prices. In the mean time, we have had several requests for people looking for Rentals and Rent to Own Properties. With these we go out, show rentals for a few hours and a decision is made. We have never advertised our services to those renting or looking for Rent to owns until today. But with the slowing market we see this as an avenue for growth in our business and for some added income generation.
We added a blurb on our homepage about Rentals and Rent to Own Properties-

Benefits to working with RentersWhy? Well several reasons
- There will be more renters in the next year or so due to mortgage lending practices tightening down.
- Renters are making decisions - Renters know rentals are moving quickly so if you see something you like you better act now!
- Renters will become buyers one day. We are teaming up with preferred lenders to help guide future buyers with regard to cleaning up their credit and setting a plan for future buying power.
- I am setting renters up on a special drip campaign geared towards them for a period of 12 months that focuses on first time home buyers/credit issues and how to work with a lender to prepare to purchase. This helps them to meet their future goal of homeownership.
- As we all know Google, MSN and other search engines like Fresh Content, this is just another way to add fresh content to our website and to get ranking on page 1. Not too many Realtors are focusing on renters and if you do it now you can beat the competition!
In the long run I believe we will all benefit! They will get some great service and we will build relationships with future clients- and in the short run we get a few small checks here and there, possibly some people coming to our website and a boost with the search engines.... at least these guys are making decisions!
