One of the featured posts yesterday discussed the importance of learning something new every day. With search engines, blogs, webinars and resources like ActiveRain, it isn't hard to do. I spent 40 minutes yesterday doing a bit of research and found 10 cool new tools that will help me (and hopefully you) enhance or grow your real estate business.
Here's what I found after only 40 minutes...
FIRST 7 MINUTES OF MY "RESEARCH"
Stopped by my favorite website (ActiveRain!) and read through 2 or 3 featured posts. The first inspired me to learn something new every day and the next was a great summary of the RainCamp in New Orleans, written by Debra Davis. In her post, she referenced two fantastic sites...
Wufoo.com -- Create FREE business forms, contact forms and surveys for your websites
HitTail.com - Keywood tool to naturally drive more long tail key word traffic to your website (Free for 60 days)
NEXT 30 MINUTES
Listened in on a webinar yesterday titled "Websites that will change your real estate business." A few were sites that 90% of the agents are already aware of, but there were a few new nifty (and F-R-E-E!) sites I wanted to share...
Issuu.com -- Take any doc and turn it onto a weblink
Animoto.com -- Design virtual tours for your listings
Armored Penguin -- Personlized / branded word searches for your clients (makes a listing appointment fun!)
YouMail.com -- New voicemail techonolgy that will send you email and text notification, provides .WAV voicemail files that you can forward along to members on your team AND if you are not able to answer your phone, it will recognize caller ID and say "Hello [caller name]! Kerry is not able to take your call at the moment...."
PR.com -- Free press releases for your business
LowesRealtorBenefits.com -- I know that most of you are already award of the Lowes newsletters and coupons for your clients, but because we don't take advantage of this offering enough, I wanted to include on my list!
MagazineClosingGift.com -- Allows you to send a branded "Thank you" postcard and then also adds your contact info / logo to the magazines. It's a nice and easy way to touch your clients each month! The cost is $22 per subscription with volume discounts available.
MyFax.com -- just like eFax (that I've been using for years), but it is only $10!
FINAL 3 MINUTES
I needed to find some information and resources for a newbie agent that just joined our team. I found some great info in just 3 (maybe 4) minutes!
Getting Started Tips & Advice -- http://www.realtor.org/library/library/fg200
ActiveRain Real Estate Rookies - http://activerain.com/action/channels/training/topics/rookies

If you have any new research, nifty real estate websites or tools you would like to share, please do.... I would love to learn a little something new tomorrow!
