Songs typcially get stuck in my head on a daily basis. And sometimes, they don't leave for days. The other day I was lucky/unlucky enough to hear an advertisement for "The Sound of Music." They played the song about confidence with the line, "I have confidence in confidence alone.." For whatever reason I started to think about the lyrics. Confidence in confidence alone. I began to think about people I know who are confident and how much more "favor" they tend to have in relationships as well as in their business dealings. They are great communicators, and often leaders. And, I don't think that they are confident because they are leaders...I think it's the other way around. I remember in elementary school the kids that everyone wanted to be friends with had a tremendous amount of confidence. It starts from the beginning. People tend to trust you easier and more.
All that to say, I think a huge factor of being good at selling real estate is confidence. And maybe not just confidence in yourself, but also in actual confidence. I'm not saying to fake it until you make it...I'm saying to know who you are, what you're good at, and own it. Be confident in your confidence to go that extra mile. Sounds too easy to be true, right? Why don't you take your confidence out for a test run and see how it goes. I'm pretty certain you'll get a good result. Oh, and confidence does not equal arrogance. Nobody wants to be around a cocky person. Just confident and secure.
