Sometimes it is not clear what you are or are not allowed to do with a piece of real estate that you are looking at. To help you understand the real estate you are looking at on paper when you get a listing sheet, I am posting this simple chart that explains the different zoning district designations you will come across in Amador County. This should help answer some of your questions. If your listing sheet does not tell you what the zoning is for a property, feel free to contact me and I will find it for you.
Right now the Amador County planning commission is working up a new twenty year general plan and has been for a couple of years. The plan should be complete soon. These things are very time consuming and difficult as everybody seems to have input.
Anyway, when a new map is made I will post that also, but for now this will help you to understand what any given parcel of real estate in Amador County is zoned for. If you want to know about a particular parcel’s zoning just contact me at Mainstreet Brokers.
