I sold my home in the woods recently and moved back into a crowded community. So now I'm trying to readjust to subdivision style living and the whole "neighbor" thing...which could take awhile. I find it hard to believe so many people would own dogs that do nothing but bark. Apparently a lot of folks do because the house behind me breeds Dachshunds and the guy next to me has at least 2 Pit Bulls and 2 ankle bitters.
I have a dog. One dog and he rarely barks. As a matter of fact many times I've thought about tying a cowbell around his neck to make sure he's alive.
So to sum it all up...the two back yards closest to me contain at least 6 dogs in a piece of land that totals less than 1/4 of an acre. Amazing observation! The poor pit bulls spend their entire existence in that small, grassless privacy fenced area, never walked and from what I can tell never played with or petted. I guess I would bark too.
It's true! There's a bright side to everything..... A silver lining so to speak........At least I don't have to worry about stray cats.
Come to think of it my last neighbor had 19 of them.
