A website called Bed Bug Registry is the place to go for locating bed bug hangouts. When I first heard of it, I wondered what the bed bugs were registering for: wedding gifts, baby shower gifts (they probably need a lot of those) but I was wrong. The site is www.bedbugregistry.com and when you get there, there's a map showing red dots all over the place. You can click on an area and get the names and locations of bed bug sightings at hotels & motels.
The problem is the bed bugs are not confirmed by anyone other than the people who register them on the site. So how good is this site; how accurate is the info? And, how many perfectly bed bug-free hotels are being registered by over-reacting visitors, or someone with an axe to grind against the hotel. And, they don't tell you how to avoid or keep from bringing them home.
None the less, the site exists; it looks to me like a site that is actually selling a lot of different things under cover (pun intended) of looking for bed bugs.
