The Trailside Center is attached to the fire station at the SE corner of 99th & Holmes.
Bob Jackson will be speaking on a $4 ¼ million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to weatherize additional homes in Jackson, Clay and Platte Counties.
Energy efficiency measures include the installation of compact florescent light bulbs, Energy Star rated high efficiency furnaces, hot water tanks, refrigerators, and/or attic, wall & floor insulation. Approximately 450 more homes will be assisted with this additional grant funding, and only about 130 homes are on the current waiting list. Please plan on attending Friday.
The public is invited including those that live in the 6th council district in South Kansas City, and light refreshments will be served. Please feel free to forward this to any interested parties.
