Here in the Hemet/San Jacinto area, Veterans are being offered a free round of golf at the Golden Era Golf Course near San Jacinto on Nov. 11 and 12.
Because this event became so popular, they have had to extend it to TWO days instead of just the one. Two golf flights are available with check-in times at 7 a.m. and a shot gun start at 7:30 a.m., and an 11:30 a.m. check-in time and noon shotgun start.
The golf course is located at 19871 Highway 79 (Gilman Springs Road), between Sanderson Avenue and State Street.
Golden Era has a lush, green 9-hole course, nestled in the Gilman Springs area. The scenery is beautiful, and this should prove to be a great time for all.
There will be a continental breakfast and lunch included. A ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Veteran's Day at the golf course clubhouse and will include World War II plane fly-overs, Riderless Horse, Color Guard, 21-Gun Salute, Taps and National Anthem.
