16 Comments on Decided to take a tour of the Salt Lake Temple and wow, amazing! (A photo tour)
Todd - Wow, amazing is absolutely right!!! These pictures are awesome, what a great experience.
Salt Lake City is a beautiful place. You captured so many wonderful sites. Amazing photographs.
Hi Todd, A couple past clients arranged a tour for me when I was there and it is so beautiful. Did you see the old Building for the Choir. This new auditorium building is totally awesome.
William, yes, the 3rd picture is the old one and the 4th picture is the new one. What amazed me is the organ is exactly the same in both except more air pressure in the one in the new convention center.

My Goodness! I had no idea there was so much to see and do in Utah! I drove through Utah once during a blizzard in February many, many years ago and never got to see the sights. I appreciated the photos you posted. They are very inspiring!
Todd, if you liked in now, you should see it between Thanksgiving and New Years Day when it is decked out with all the Christmas lights. It is something incredible to see! Great job photographing it!
Hi Todd!

Those are beautiful photos! I didn't know that they would allow you to take photos of the interior...but I sure am glad they did!
Hey Todd...I read through all your Utah blogs so far. You crack me up. Sounds like you are having a blast. Thanks for the url for Momsminivan. Will pass that on!! Hurry home. Drive safe.
Blessings to you and your family,
Jill
Mom's Minivan?
I didn't know your mom was in the rental business.
The headquarters of the LDS Church in Salt Lake City is like one big urban national park.
hi Todd, such great pics of Salt Lake City...i did a one week stint there visiting Zions Bank for my corporation & it's dry, at least it was then...my boss & i found one place we could imbibe but i was not allowed to buy the drink! When we went out to dinner with the CEO & his wife we were told not to order any liquor or coffee...anyway the Church is just breathtaking I thought...thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed the temple. Next time you're here you'll have to see all the lights when its decorated between Thanksgving and Christmas time. Utah really is a beautiful place and good timing on your visit, the inversions haven't set in so you can still enjoy our beautiful mountains. You'll have to try a visit in the spring or early fall too and drive south to see all the parks and sights, pictures don't do them justice. I hope you've been treated well while you've been here and enjoy the rest of your visit.
Great post! This just reminded me that when we drove by the Washington DC Mormon Tabernacle last weekend, I promised to find out when the Festival of Light show is this Christmas. Off to do my research (and it will be a great idea for a post!).
I drove from California to Utah when I was in High School. I think I took 10 rolls of film back then. You captured some breat pictures. I had to take two or three of the Temple, since I had an old camera!
Great pictures, Todd! I have driven through Utah and enjoyed all the rock formations but have never been to Salt Lake City. If I ever get a chance to go, I will take the tour of the Temple. Looks amazing.
The Salt Lake Temple in Utah is beautiful and if I am ever in the area I will tour. The last picture of Jesus and your child is priceless...
