Researchers at Enquiro did an eye tracking study to see what users looked at on the screen. Results show that eyes stay within a zone they call the Golden Triangle.

72% click on the first entry that meets their criteria within the Golden Triangle!!

This graph compares the three Major Search Engines. MSN - Yahoo - Google

Where according to author Aaron Wall from the SEO Book in general, Google gets twice as much traffic as yahoo and Yahoo twice as much traffic as msn.

Wow! That is impressive, thanks for sharing!

Interesting, Bruno, thanks for posting this. Though specific to the SEs, it apparently confirms my instinct to design from a focal point in the upper left corner of a page.

Are we staying on top of our SEO by what we do no AR? So that we can eventually be in the golden triangle.

I have noticed that even being on page one isn't always enough to get traffic. You have to have one of the first couple of slots or you really don't get any traffic. It is interesting how the eyes follow on a page.

This is very interesting information. I am going to check out some of your links to info on how to get into this corner of the page. Thanks.
