If you love seafood, watching thousands of funky people walking about, fireworks, crafts and unique gifts all wrapped up in an exciting 3 day event then head to Hampton Beach this weekend.

This is a people pleasing-people watching event like no other. Bring your wallet as parking will be at a premium and of course you'll want to taste everything...especially that fried ice cream.

All the action takes place right on Ocean Boulevard starting Friday at 4pm and running until Sunday at 6pm. Check out the website for details. http://www.hamptonchamber.com/seafoodfestival/index.html

Jay and I have attended the festival the last few years but will miss it this year. Usually it is wall to wall people...the smell of the ocean (salt water), fried seafood and beer prevails and it is a blast to watch all the very-very unique people. I took a few pictures of the preparations today as we drove up the coast.

There is something for everyone at the festival...young and old alike and even entertainment to sooth your nerves.

Go hungry as you'll be sure to want to sample all the award winning New England Seafood.

Have fun and enjoy our New Hampshire Seacoast!!!

Thanks so much for this post!I am originally from New England and used to go to Hampton Beach quite often. They don't have the seafood down here in Florida like they do up there.Florida is a great place...but the seafood is the best up there!Yum!

Monika - I am so sorry it is too far away, I love seafood so you could say this is would be my type of festival.  This weekend we are having the Hudson Valley Food and Wine festival so I will have something to do.

Monika, now you are talking my language.  Seafood is one thing that even Red Sox and Yankee Fans can agree on.

We sure can George. How are your boys doing...mine are doing pretty good. :)

Hi Monika,

I love people watching! I have yet to get to the seafood festival, my mom is usually there every year. Now go make that sale...:)

Monika - I don't mean to hijack anything between you and George, but at least you all have Boston and the Yankees....I'm stuck with the Texas Rangers!!!!!

09/07/2007 09:45 PM by Linda Scanlan (A Fan of AR)

Linda, it is great fun when you have two teams and fans that love to duke-it out.  Monika and Jay are great about this :)

09/07/2007 09:57 PM by George Souto (McCue Mortgage Co.)

The sad part about it, George, is that the Rangers are not even worth fighting over! So, so sad...

(Monika you can have your post back...sorry )

George...We both won last night BUT Boston is still ahead of the Yanks.

Linda...Hijack away.  Jay and I love picking on George and he loves giving it right back to us. Texas Rangers...Are they pretty bad? I'll have to ask Jay about them. You could adopt Boston!!!

Suzanne...The Festival is usually packed with people...you could get claustrophobic but it is a fun thing to do! I do hope I make a sale!!!

Monika - seems like they're always at the bottom of the AL West. Their motto is "wait until next year". They've been saying that since Spring Training! LOL!  People go to the ballgame to see the opposing teams! I do like Boston! At least they TRY to win. The Rangers hardly go through the motions!
