Finally, a piece of good news about home prices in my area, northern NJ. According to the National Association of Realtors, as reported in The Record today, the median home price rose 4 percent to $470,100, but the number of homes sold in the state fell 22 percent in the third quarter, due to the end of the federal home buyers' tax credit.
Well, I and the sellers I know will be happy to hear about that 4 percent rise in the 3rd quarter. And the last two homes I staged went under contract in two months, better than the 90-110 day average D.O.M. here.
