Nope Not Interested

Active Rain is amazing in so many ways. I have learned so many things, I have met so many wonderful friendly people and have been viewed and contacted by many consumers since finding my place on the first few pages of Google and Yahoo.

What I have become since becoming a member of Active Rain is a Target! A target Target for those looking for new Mortgage Professionals. In the last 2 weeks, I have been bombarded a couple times a day by someone looking to interview me based on my on-line "resume". However flattering that can be, most probably feel they are the only one calling me. After call 5 or 6 it is not as flattering anymore.

Every Company has the latest and greatest. Automated underwriting, work from anywhere, in house underwriting, in house closing, licensed in every state, contracts with Real Estate offices, and best of all federally chartered to avoid the new laws effecting Mortgage Brokers.

I am stating my disclaimer for anyone else looking to pick up the phone and ask if I would like to take a look at what they have to offer.

At 1st Advantage Mortgage, I have everything I need, want and could use. I have been a Mortgage Professional with 1st Advantage Mortgage for almost 8 years. When I started it was a small company with many open desks. I have watched Paul Lueken, President of 1st Advantage Mortgage and President elect for the IAMP, take this company to a level of success and continue to grow and expand. I have watched Paul Lueken originate loans just as the loan officers he hires, and typically produce numbers that would make many envious. I work for a fair man and an honest man. There is very little turn over which says a lot for a company of this type. We have offices in several states, we are licensed in many states and continue to grow even in a slower market.

So I say this, I am NOT interested in changing companies, I am NOT interested in seeing what you have to offer, and I do not want to just do lunch to take a look. However, if you decide that you want to take a look at a company that has integrity, longevity, stability, honesty and everything else you need to be a Mortgage Professional, give me a call!

Nobody calls me and asks me to come to work with them :( You must be doing a great job!

Would you like to buy a house in Naples? Just kidding...I wanted you to hear a different solicitation compared to what you get on the phone. Truly tasteless but hope you got a chuckle anyway! Cheers!

I think I'll follow Shannon's lead. Do you need to buy a house or condo in Daytona Beach? J/K. I can relate to fielding calls from "shoppers". It does get a bit tiring. But it is a job. I guess it goes with the territory.

Seriously though, I haven't received too many of these calls and e-mails. I did get a slew of them about 5 months ago. I agree with your statement, even though I just moved onto a new company this week.

Gary... Obviously they are all happy with their companies too, otherwise they wouldn't call with the goods! We have an office in AZ, so let me know when you wanna hear about us! LOL

Jeff... I almost moved a while back, because all I could see was the $$, sign on bonus! I couldn't justify it any other way... when I weighed the pros and cons, my husband asked my why I was even thinking about it! I've never been unhappy, but money can make you irrational! I didnt realize you moved! Good luck!

Kim...you wouldn't even move for 1 million? hhhhmmm.... ;o) Seriously though....I just went to a company that didn't offer me a sign on. But I was offered a sign on of 10k 1 1/2 weeks ago. I agree with your statements. I wish I could say the same about my previous companies. But I will say this, you just never know. Things do happen and take place.

Jeff - Not even for a million! Not now! Part of my other problem is I am Loyal to the bone!

there is no problem with loyalty. I love it and I try..... but you also have to look out for yourself at times. Even if it was my most favorite company. Taking the 1 million would be my decision, because it would be a challenge for me also. Embarking on a new adventure and possibly helping others along the way, even in a new company. Or maybe starting a new company? Just food for thought...

Jeff... Change is hard and can be good, for someone else. I remember when I moved here how nervous I was for the change, but knew it was right, I did not have that feeling this last time. It is food for thought, I love helping people right where I'm at! Thanks for the challenge! ;o)

What a flattering phone call...the first 3 times!! I love that you've announced THIS DECISION on AR and hope it's read by those attempting to persuade you to leave. I love hearing how HAPPY YOU ARE at 1st Advantage Mortgage! They're lucky to have you...LOYALTY is hard to come by these days. :-)

Susie - Your right flattery goes out the window after the first several calls....but they don't know that they are number 25 or so. I figured this would let anyone know for the future!

If a countrywide recruiter calls me ONE MORE TIME......

Oh, and one more thing, Kim. Do you know any way to be placed at the top of the search engines? or where I can buy some mortgage leads?

You go girl!! You are not going anywhere. If you wouldn't go to that other company to be our in-house lender than you have to stay put!!! (LOL)
