Ed, We Need To Have a Chat!  

If I hear those words at home, I'm immediately working my mind trying to figure out what my wife has on her mind. But I heard this on the phone and the voice was not my wife's.

Ed, this is Andrea. Like a rock star, or a noted athlete, here on the Rain, no full name is needed. It was like talking to my next door neighbor of 20 years, and she is pretty close, just 40 miles. It wasn't the first time we had talked, and although we haven't met yet, our conversation had no uncomfortable pauses, very little idle chatter, not once did either of us mention the weather.

We talked shop, we talked about the business, we talked about the RainCamps, and her angst about no RainCamp in CT yet. I would have to believe that even if there were a RainCamp at the Ethan Allen Inn in Danbury, Andrea would have a problem leaving her beloved New Milford.

At first I thought I was going to get a calling down for breathing down her back, the ActiveRain point total back. It ws ironic, as I had just gotten finished commenting on her library post today and it jumped me in front of her by 1 point. Talk about being sensitive.

We effortlessly talked about our common friendships in the Rain. I brought up a conversation I had had with Lenn Harley, earlier in the year and the post I made after that call.

I also finished up by letting her know that this call would also carry a post, afterall I have a 1 point lead to protect.

Spending time here in the Rain is like visiting with the family after a while. As we spend time blogging and commenting, we truly get into a Social Networking but with the common interest that we have with real estate.  I'm positive we'll meet, face to face very soon, even if I have to take the trip to New Milford. I hope I get through the border guards without incident.

Ed - I've had the pleasure of meeting Andrea in person....ha ha...beat you out on that  one!! :)  It was like being with family.  There were no barriers to break....our conversations were about being moms and grandmas.  I can barely recall a discussion too much about business.  We had a wonderful time touring the Thimble Islands. 

Would love to have a little get together with our little band of Active Rain brother and sisters in Connecticut.

Todd Clark stopped by today to say hello with his family on the way to Zion Park and the Grand Canyon! It was like we were old friends talking about family, some pig speak, their recent travels and a 'little' real estate. I loved it! The best to "Moo" with your visit with Andrea!
