Winning by Being Smarter

A few minutes ago the boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito ended with unanimous decision. All three judges score the bout for Manny Pacquiao. “The judges' scores: 120-108, 118-110 and 119-109, all for the Pacman.”

So, what a big deal? Well, this was a remarkable bout in many aspects. The match was between unequal boxers. Margarito is bigger and stronger. At yesterday’s weighing he was at 150 lb, and Pacquiao came at even less then expected, only 144.6. Margarito was expected to gain weight to 168 lb, while Manny stayed at 144.6.

This is a huge advantage for Margarito. And Antonio is much taller. The whole thing Margarito - Pacquiaoreally did not look good for Manny Pacquiao.

And this is exactly what separates ordinary from the extraordinary. Manny speed, excellent lateral movement, and superior boxing abilities helped him to dominate the most vicious opponent in the ring that he ever had.

He ended the bout and looked the same way he walked into the ring. He was smiling.

Antonio Margarito’s face was a bloody mess, with one eye practically shut, terrible cut… He went through the grueling war.

Manny Pacquiao made another step to become the legend.

I salute him for winning against the force by being more effective, faster, and better prepared. A smarter boxer.

Sounds like a winning recipes for any sports, or any profession, including Real Estate.

Vadim, I am not a boxing fan, but I'm a HUGE MMA fan...haven't missed a UFC fight for almost 2 years now, and I agree with your statement: "Winning by Being Smarter" as this happens all the time in cagefighting. :)

MMA is brutal. I am not a real fan of either, but both fascinate me, and I occasionally watch them.
