Florida Realtors

If you are a Florida Realtor and are concerned that you have not sold your "share" of homes in 2011, there just might be a very good reason for that. Don't blame yourself, don't knock your self out trying to figure out why. The answer is as plain as the nose on your face. Just look at the statistics.

No of Realtors in Florida (aprox)                                                            163,919

No of Realtors in Florida with email addresses (aprox)                              163,863

No of Realtors in Florida with websites (including email addresses) (aprox)   23,504

So, once you know how many homes were sold in Florida this year it's easy to see how you have done.

Does email play a big part in your success, probably not, because most people use it now.

Does a website play a part in your success? Only if you are on the front page of the main search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing and your site is both informative and easy to navigate.

The only way to sell more than the "average Joe" is to be the best at what you do. Never try to be who you aren't because clients will see straight through you. Surround yourself with other professionals, people who can enhance your service because you offer "one stop shopping". Home Inspectors, Mortgage Brokers, Plumbers, Electricians. etc. all can make you look like a super star because you can meet all the needs of your client. This is just the start, networking, adverts, etc can also play a part. But most important in my opinion are you previous clients who you have a relationship with because they found the home of their dreams through you. Never lose touch, send out a newsletter to them every few months, call them, write letters asking for testimonials, referrals etc.

When you are not showing houses or researching houses for your clients you need to be building your business. The day you stop is the day your business dies. Being a Realtor is not a career, it's a lifestyle and you have to live eat and breath your business 24/7. Just like I do in mine.

PS: I even offer free marketing to Realtors who use my services. Something to think about.

Aubrey, great advice! My favorite sentence is " Never try to be who you aren't because clients will see straight through you."  You are so genuine it is refreshing!  Thank you!
