The Holiday Festival of Lights in Charleston, SC at the James Island County Park in Charleston, Sc is rated among the top 10 Holiday Festival of Light shows in the USA !! What an honor !!  The Festival of Lights Begins November 12, 2010 and end January 2, 2011.  Residents and tourist alike will enjoy this annual event.

While driving the three mile car tour, you will see over 600 displays and millions of lights.  Themes are Candy land, Toy Land, Santa Land.  Then, stop the car and visit Santa's Village and Winter Wonderland, featuring the Enchanted Walking Trail, the gift shop and the North Pole Diner.  Or ride in Sants' Train that departs every 20 minutes for a twelve minute ride.  The carousel runs nightly with rides lasting approximately two minutes.  Perfect photo opportunity with Santa.

I like the photo of the bridge, great light displays. We do something similar here in so. cal but it is a boat parade of Christmas lights. If you are ever in the area around the holidays you should check it out

Thanks, Michael.  The bridge image is unique...displaying both the old and the new bridges.  Today, only the new bridge stands.  Clever design.  Charleston also has a Christmas Parade of boats.  Maybe I'll try to catch that this year.  Have a great day !

Joye, nice photos.  The Festival of Lights is one of the few "sacred" holiday traditions our family enjoys.  We round up a carload of friends and guests, and drive thru.  We always go around twice, and ooh and aah the whole time!  I can't wait to see this year's display!
