Cedar City Subdivisions....GR Parry....

By
Real Estate Agent with Aubrey and Associates Realty

The GR Parry Subdivision is also in the Center Part of Cedar City.  It is near the Imlay Subdivision and like the last few that I have highlighted is near Southern Utah University.  This is a subdivision that was built in the early to mid 1950's.

There have been 3 homes sell in the GR Parry Subdvision in the past three years, although currently, no homes are listed for sale in the MLS.  This is another quiet subdivision that is close enough to the University to be attractive to investors as well as homeowners.

Here are the photos:

Darcy and Tony,

These are very nicely constructed home. I'm sure there are surprises to be found within. Older homes that are well maintained on the outside, often have lots of character and charm within.

I hope you're business is going well!

Hi Darcy and Tony, Another great neighborhood!  Even your 50s homes have character! I love the first two pictured above with the different roof lines--not just the same old same old!

Tony and Darcy---These could be anywhere USA.  They look a lot like the homes of similar age here. Cute and with lots of character.  Don't make 'em like they used to, do they?

Michael, Thank you!

Patricia, this is true, some of them still have the original woodwork or hardwood floors that are in excellent condition.

Chris, Thank you, I wasn't sure whether to call them a modern style a prairie style, or just what, but variety is really nice as long as it is asthetically pleasing!

Pat, they really don't and to get something that is all brick like that, would break the bank now!

John, Thanks, that is a good observation, this is one of those solid subdivisions built in the mid to late 1950's.

I love these houses, particularly the roof line of the first one.  They are like many things of a certain age - now they are retro-cool!

These homes look great.  For homes built in the 50's they look like they've aged well. Hope the insides tell the same story.

Susan, this is true, they are cool now!

Leah, I haven't been inside of these particular homes, like I said this subdivision seldom has any sales, but if the outside is any indication, they should be in pretty good shape

Hi Tony, I think the brick home in photo 1 looks like it's a Lego home and it's really cute. Love the look of all those homes.

Another great post highlighting your area!  You guys ROCK!  If I am not mistaken these homes could be referred to as Atomic Ranches given the time they were built and their style - LOVE IT!

Leilani, it is a cool house, I like it and #2.  The house in #2's photo reminds me of a Frank Lloyd Wright design,

Joshua, it is nice to see some good variety in the design.  It is a cool design.

Toni, It is a cool home, I hadn't looked at like a lego house, but I can see why you thought of it that way.

Leesa, I had never heard the term Atomic Ranch, I love it, and am adding it to my real estate vocabulary!

Sharon, Thank you!

All: Thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment!  We appreciate it!
