Cat vs. Alligators - are people really this stupid?

I watched this video in utter disbelief. Not only are the cats in a precarious position but look at where the people are? Do people honestly think alligators are warm and fuzzy? The children are right next to a 'gator. I think these people should be reported for child endangerment; what the heck is wrong with them. Sure they are small ones but these are wild animals, folks, and nasty ones at that.

Would you let your children or pets this close to an alligator? They do eat small pets and probably small kids given the opportunity.

Someday that cat is going to lose and end up as dinner. There is no way I would let my daughter get that close to any alligator.

That man needs to be charged with endangerment to a child. He's definitely sending the wrong message to his child and anyone else who watches this video! If something happens in the future, he's on video and this can be used as evidence against him! What an idiot!

You know this video made the national news. I thought about this throughout the day, and I guess I don't know the mentality of alligators enough to get that close to them. It's kind of like I don't know the mentality of a pitbull to get close enough. I just went on an alligator tour. I was at the NAR convention. It was amazing. But the tour place had a cat on site. I wonder if they don't keep them around to attract alligators??? This cat in the video got wise and said I'm not going to be dinner.
